The Treehouse Team

Mamie (JoAnne) Richardson, Director and Afterschool Classroom

Hello, my name is Mamie JoAnne Richardson. Ms. Jo to my kiddos! I am the Director of The Owl's Treehouse Childcare and Learning Center and the after schoolteacher. I am "Grandma" to my four grandchildren. I love learning about other cultures, watching K dramas, eating ramen and sushi. While childcare was not in my plans, it sprang from my heart's work in my community and the passion for the young women and families that I work with. Having been a parent who had to rely heavily on outside childcare, I can attest to the daily struggle parents feel as they have to leave their children in someone else's care. My goal is that The Owl's Treehouse Childcare and Learning Center will be a place that parents can confidently go about their day knowing that their children are safe, happy and thriving in our care.
Samantha McIntosh, Assistant Director/Preschool Classroom

I’m a proud mother of four and a triple major in Arts, Science, and Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. I have a deep passion for working with children, and I love being there for them—helping them learn, grow, and discover the world around them. There’s nothing better than seeing their bright smiles and knowing I’ve helped make their day a little happier!
When I’m not in the classroom, I’m spending time with my kids—whether we’re reading, watching documentaries, playing video games, or cheering them on in their sports. I can’t wait for this journey with you and your little ones at The Owls Tree House.
