Full-time childcare workers wanted for a daycare center in Owsley County. If you enjoy working with children and helping to provide a fun, safe, and educational environment where you can make a difference, then this may be the position that you’ve been searching for. The childcare center is searching for qualified workers to help monitor and lead activities throughout the day. Help kids engage in tasks and games designed to promote analytical thinking skills and cooperation, and assist them in working with others to resolve conflicts and encourage cooperation. Childcare workers play a vital role in shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning. Patience, creativity, and dedication contribute to a positive experience for both children and their families. This employer offers childcare for children ages 0-5 and children up to ages 12 who are out of school/after school. The position is 40 hours a week-Monday - Friday. Your primary responsibilities include:

Maintaining a Safe Learning Environment: You’ll ensure that the center provides a secure and nurturing space for children. This involves supervising classroom activities, monitoring playtime, and keeping an eye on safety protocols.

Supervising Children: You’ll be responsible for the well-being of the children under your care. This includes assisting with stimulating and age-appropriate lessons and games, ensuring overall hygiene, and promoting positive interactions among children. Must also be physically able to bend, lift and work with small children.

Meal Preparation and Feeding: You’ll assist with preparation of meals and snacks for the children, ensuring they receive nutritious and balanced food. Feeding routines are essential, and you’ll create a pleasant dining experience for the little ones. (Food handlers’ certification will be a part of your orientation).

Assisting with Homework: For older children, you’ll provide support with their homework. This may involve helping them understand assignments, reviewing completed work, and encouraging a positive attitude toward learning.

Accompanying Children to Social Events: Whether it’s a field trip, outdoor playtime, or a special event, you’ll be there to guide and supervise the children. Your role is crucial in ensuring their safety and enjoyment.

Maintaining a Clean Environment: Regular cleaning and sanitization of play areas, toys, and equipment are essential. You’ll contribute to creating a hygienic and organized space for the children.
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the licensing regulations of the state of Kentucky2.
Required Qualifications:

Must be 18 years old

Must have a High School Diploma or GED

Must be willing to participate in training applicable to the position.

Must be willing to participate in trainings applicable to the position.

Must be enrolled or be willing to enroll in coursework leading to an AA Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field.

Must be willing to enroll in coursework leading to a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).

Must pass a TB skin test.

Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol tests, criminal check, and a child abuse and child neglect check.

First aid and CPR certification (training will be provided as part of orientation).
Part-time childcare workers wanted for a daycare center in Owsley County. Help kids engage in tasks and games designed to promote analytical thinking skills and cooperation and assist them in working with others to resolve conflicts and encourage cooperation. This position will work with students ranging from 3-5 that are out of school and afterschool. The hours will be from 3:15 - 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday when children are in regular school. Summer hours would be full time hours but only when school is out for the summer. This position offers competitive pay. All employees have federal holidays off.
